Hospitals - oh JOY

Ok, so I have realised that I only ever write in my journal when I have doom and gloom to report, so instead of staying true to form, I shall only send a BIG hug and kiss to my mumma bear who is out of the hospital today and is spending her ten day break before she goes back in for treatment up at my uncle's place in the country where she will have all the TLC she can stand (and quite possibly, more) without Diesel trying to eat at her cast and Theodore trying to get on her lap every five seconds ... MWAH!!!

Ok, so I never write in this thing, which makes me kinda useless ... but hey, it was my birthday two days ago!! Happy birthday to ME!!

Yeah, it was a great birthday ... I spent an hour and a half (and apparantly, that is good timing for a public hospital!) sitting in a hospital clinic waiting room then had to listen to the plastic surgeon explain by use of VERY GRAPHIC scans how a cheekbone that has been broken in three places will have to be reset etc etc etc - my brother, Sammy, is the one having the operation, I'm just the tiny person sitting in the corner quietly freaking the HELL OUT!! So, yeah, in case it wasn't picked up on before ... crappy birthday.  But hey, at least no one got gangbashed this time LOL

Bonus: Robbie's (my youngest brother) gf got tix to be in the audience to Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, which was an incredibly boring experience.  We stayed for the celebrity guest, who was James Matheson (off Nova Launchpad and former presenter of Australian Idol) but bailed before they could let out any of the other guests ... Sammy was falling asleep next to me LOL

Writer's Block: Funniest Thing Ever.

Out of all the funny things that have ever happened to you, which experience still cracks you up?

I have to tell the story of my friend, who is one of those crazy people who loves horror movies (laughs hysterically at them, actually) got scared enough to scream out loud at the movies - and not even at a horror flick!  Story goes like this:

My friend and I took my mother to see A Civil Action (boring-est movie EVER!) at the cinema when it first came out.  My mother is the type of person who jumps at the smallest thing - completely gets into the movie and enjoys the experience.  She chose to sit between us as we had been mucking around earlier in the shopping centre doing the stupid things that teenagers do.  Anyway, abrupt scene change from Travolta explaining case to him playing pool - jumps to the cue hitting the ball on the table with the loud sounds that would accompany the action.  Mum jumps at the sudden sound and grabs onto my arm and the arm of my friend, and my friend hits the roof with a scream!! I cracked up then and I still do now thinking about it - she never lived it down!!

My first post!

I thought that I should memorialize the creation of my LJ page by posting something immediately - even if it is dribble.  Perhaps I should have waited until I had something of importance to say ... nope, I think that would have taken too long (LOL)!

Hooray and welcome to me!!

:)
